In line with SDG 17, that indicates partnerships and collaboration are key to sustainable development, VMSSS has teamed up with committed stakeholders to ensure implementation and execution of the visionary SDH Goals and the robust schemes drawn up by the Indian government. A key initiative is the restoration of waterbodies and rivers, working in tandem with local panchayths, youth and government machinery to achieve efficacy and sustainability.
Valliyur Multipurpose Social Service Society (VMSSS) has been working in the community adopting the mission and vision of Caritas India and contributing its part by taking up projects promoting livelihood, agriculture, women empowerment, etc. In this context, VMSSS has taken up a river restoration project in Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu along with the following stakeholders.
