POSHAN Abhiyaan or National Nutrition Mission, is the Government of India’s flagship programme to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
VMSSS supports the implementation of POSHAN Abhiyaan using the four point strategy/pillars of the mission.
Inter-sectoral convergence for better service delivery.
Use of technology (ICT) for real time growth monitoring and tracking of women and children.
Intensified health and nutrition services for the first 1000 days.
VMSSS works with a partner, Vaishnavi Welfare and Charitable Trust , which was created with an intention to intervene in malnourishment of children through our ancient science of Ayurveda. A dedicated team works towards supplying milk with the goodness of ‘Ashwagandha’ on a daily basis.
